About the Restaurant

Pizzeria Amore Pula is tucked away in Pula’s Old Town, just a few steps behind the iconic Temple of Augustus on Kapitolinski trg.
Although it sits in the very heart of the historic centre, the setting feels slightly hidden and sheltered from the main flow of tourists,
making it a relaxed spot to pause between sightseeing stops on the Forum.

Seating is centred around the outdoor garden, where stone walls and neighbouring historic buildings create an intimate courtyard atmosphere.
The vibe balances local and visitor energy: you’ll see couples, small groups of friends, and families with children sharing pizzas and pastas
under the open sky. With a wheelchair-accessible entrance, free Wi-Fi and a friendly, welcoming team, it aims to be a comfortable choice
for a wide range of guests rather than a purely tourist-oriented stop. Open all year, it works just as well for a cosy off-season dinner
as it does for a lively summer evening.

Atmosphere & Who It’s For

The atmosphere at Pizzeria Amore Pula is relaxed and welcoming, with a leafy garden courtyard that feels pleasantly tucked away from the busier streets
around the Temple of Augustus. Earlier in the evening it tends to be quiet and easy for conversation, while at peak times the garden fills up and the
mood becomes livelier without losing its cosy feel. Service is warm, attentive and unhurried, which suits the overall laid-back character of the place.

The space works well for couples, families and mixed-age groups alike. High chairs and a family-friendly approach make it an easy choice with children.
It is listed as dogs friendly both inside and in the garden, so most people can feel comfortable
and included. It’s ideal for a relaxed dinner after exploring Pula’s sights, especially if you enjoy lingering over a bottle of wine or a cocktail in
a cosy courtyard setting.

  • Best for: Pizza lovers, couples, families, small groups.
  • Vibe: Relaxed garden courtyard, local and friendly, sometimes lively.
  • Good to know: Limited paid parking nearby; dogs and kids welcome; free Wi-Fi.

Visit Pula Review

When we visited Pizzeria Amore Pula, the first thing that won us over was the location: a small garden courtyard hidden just behind the Temple of Augustus.
You still feel the energy of the Old Town, but the setting is calmer and more intimate, a little escape from the busy Forum. Sitting outside, surrounded
by stone walls and warm lighting, felt like exactly the right place for a slow, easy dinner.

We focused on what they do best – Neapolitan-style pizza and homemade pasta. The pizza dough was light and pleasantly chewy, with just the right amount
of char from the wood-fired oven. A pizza with truffle mortadella, pistachios and green pesto really stood out: rich and aromatic but still well balanced.
The gnocchi with salmon was creamy without being heavy, and the flavour of the fish stayed fresh and clean. Service matched the food – genuinely friendly,
unforced and happy to explain the menu or suggest drinks, from homemade lemonades to local wines.

Prices of around €20–25 per person including drinks feel fair for the quality and this central a spot, though if you are used to Italian prices you will
notice the difference. The only real downside for us was parking: it’s mostly paid and not always easy to find, so arriving on foot works best. Overall,
Pizzeria Amore Pula delivers a proper, honest pizza-and-pasta experience in a charming Old Town courtyard, and it’s a place we would gladly return to
on our next evening in Pula.
