Visit Pula Review
Gortanova Beach is one of those spots where Pula still feels local and
relaxed. Tucked below the Lungomare promenade, this small pebble cove offers
calm, clear water, natural shade from pine trees and an easy sea entrance,
which makes it especially pleasant for families with confident swimmers,
couples and anyone who enjoys quiet swims rather than a big, busy resort
atmosphere.
The beach itself is simple: mostly pebbles and rocky terraces, with basic
facilities like a café, toilets and changing cabins nearby. There are no loud
beach clubs or long rows of sunbeds, and space can feel tight in the peak of
summer, but outside the busiest hours Gortanova is a charming everyday beach
where locals come for a quick dip, sunset views and a peaceful break from the
city.
About
Tucked along the scenic Lungomare coastal promenade, Gortanova Beach (also known as Gortanova Uvala) is one of Pula’s most charming natural beaches. Just a few minutes’ drive from the city center, this small pebble cove blends the ease of city access with the calm of untouched nature.
The beach is well-loved for its gentle entrance into the sea, making it an ideal choice for families with children, couples, and visitors looking for a quiet swim. The backdrop of pine trees provides shade throughout the day, while the rocky plateaus surrounding the cove offer perfect sunbathing spots.
A small beach bar and café overlook the sea, serving refreshing drinks and local snacks. The area is kept natural and simple no loud water sports or motorboats allowing guests to enjoy the soothing sounds of the sea.
