About Advent in Pula
Advent in Pula is the city’s main festive-season programme, transforming central squares, streets, parks and historic landmarks into a network of Christmas and winter venues. Rather than taking place at a single Christmas market, the event spreads through central Pula, allowing visitors to combine festive entertainment with an evening walk through the historic centre.
The programme changes from year to year but typically combines live music, family entertainment, children’s activities, seasonal decorations and food and drink stands. Major public spaces used for the latest confirmed edition included Forum Square, Giardini, Portarata Square, City of Graz Park, Pula City Market and the Arena.
One of the most distinctive recent additions has been Advent inside the Pula Arena. During the 2025/26 edition, the Roman amphitheatre hosted an illuminated winter setting and a large ice rink, creating an unusual combination of ancient architecture and a modern seasonal attraction.
